32737だけではわかりにくいので、75年の科学委員会全体会議に先立って
行われた南半球ミンククジラ資源量推定小委員会の報告を全文引用して
おきます。

捕獲枠暫定算出の母集団となる成熟、非授乳個体の総数を13万9700頭と
しています。
ここで興味深いのは、最初に正木論文から抽出してまとめた捕獲可能資源
サイズ（総数12万9700）をソ連のデータで修正して13万9700とし、イニシャル
サイズ（初期資源量）と呼び方を変えているところですね。

捕獲可能資源サイズと捕獲可能頭数（捕獲枠）の紛れを解くヒントになります。

REPORT OF SUB-COMMTTEE TO ESTIMATE STOCK SIZES OF SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE MINKE WHALES

1. Members: Best, Borodin, Brownell, Ivashin, Moura, Ohsumi, Tillman (connvener)

2. The sub-committee had before it SC/27/Doc 1, 5, 18, 20, 32, Prog rep 2 and Rep 12.
These were reviewed, and the sub-committee agreed that the best estimate of
exploitable stock size was that for Area IV which had been derived from corrected
CPUE data in Doc 32. This estimate is 23.7 thousand and applies to the start
of the 1971/72 season.

3. Average indices of abundance from Table 18 of Doc 18 vere normalized relative
to the index for Area IV. Assuming that these normalized averages for the
period 1965/66-1974/75 apply to the midpoint of that period, ie to the start
of 1971, estimates of exploitable stock size for the other Antarctic Areas
were obtained by multiplying the normalized index for each times the estimate
for Area IV:
