＞＞当時（1931年〜1933年）「侵略」かどうかが問題にされたのは、1928年に多くの国々によって「不戦条約」が締結されていたからです。
その点においては、満州事変は侵略とされませんでした。

「不戦条約」において日本をはじめ各国は自衛のための戦争は例外としていたと思うが、リットン調査団は柳条湖事件、満州事変は日本の自衛権行使ではないと言っているのでは？

たとえば、

It is a fact that, without a declaration of war, a large area of what was indisputably the Chinese territory has been forcibly seized and occupied by the armed forces of Japan and has, in consequence of this operation, been separated from and declared independent of the rest of China. (前掲、127)


リットン調査団報告の問題の部分

Neither is it a simple case of the violation of the frontier of one country by the armed forces of a neighbouring country

は、柳条湖事件をめぐる満州事変は、いわゆる国境紛争（日本軍による国境侵犯）ではない（あたりまえのことですね）と言っているだけで、日本の満州進出そのものがが侵略ではないとは言っていないでしょう。

それを、日本の満州進出は侵略ではないと言っているというのは曲解ですね。
