「一国の国境の近隣国の軍隊による侵害」

この文脈でviolation＝侵略は、「他国に侵入してその領土や財物を奪い取ること」という意味からかなりずれていると思う。ここで言っているのは、軍事的に他国の国境を侵すこと、侵害すること。柳条湖事件は、それに該当しないということではないだろうか。

だから、これをもってリットン調査団報告が日本の満州進出は侵略ではないと言っているというのは的外れではなかろうか。

おなじ第九章に以下のような文章もある。
