サウジ連続自爆テロ、さらに宗教者ら１１人逮捕

　 サウジアラビアのナエフ内相は２８日までにリヤドでの連続自爆テロ事件に絡んで新たに１１人を逮捕したことを発表した。２９日付のアラブ有力紙アルハヤトによると逮捕者のなかに宗教者３人が含まれ、国際テロ組織アルカイダの思想を広げ、「（欧米・イスラエルの）十字軍へのジハード（聖戦）」を求める宗教見解を出したためとされる。

　 大規模な摘発は２７日にメディナ市で行われた。同テロ事件の関連でこれまでの逮捕者は２１人に上るという。容疑者の妻と見られる３人の外国人女性も含まれている。 (05/29 21:14)

○これができるならさっさと「殺人意志」すべてを摘発してもらいたいものだ。例のイギリスのテロのお師匠さんはシャバにいるのだろうに。むろんハマスもだが。

Billion dollar peace plan for Syria, Lebanon

Two US Congressmen, Darrell Issa (R-Ca.) and Robert Wexler (D-Fl.), arrive in the region Saturday with them a US promise of a half a billion US dollars each to Syria and Jordan if they sign peace agreements with Israel and make other changes, Israel Radio quotes the Lebanese newspaper A-Sapir.

Syria will be asked to withdraw from Lebanon while Lebanon should redeploy into southern Lebanon all the way to the border with Israel, dismantle Hizbullah as a militia, and reach water agreements with Israel.

Wexler, a senior member of the House International Relations Committee, will travel first Israel and Jordan, his office announced.

"President Assad must make historic decisions for his nation's future," Wexler said, "including ending Syrian support for terrorist organizations, permanently closing down all terrorist headquarters in Damascus, preventing the continued transportation and arming of Hezbollah, and withdrawing Syrian troops from Lebanon. If President Assad wants his nation to be an accepted member of the international community and to have positive relations with the United States, it is critical that he take immediate steps to address the pressing concerns that Washington and the international community have today." Through its continued occupation of Lebanon, Syria is in direct violation of United Nations Security Council Resolutions 425 and 520.
