WOW! Americans really do have short memories!!! Freedom was never one of the reasons Bush gave us for invading Iraq. First it was links to El Qaeda, but that was revealed to come from deliberately falsified intelligence. Then it was weapons of mass destruction. Once again deliberately falsified intelligence. It was only AFTER there were no wmd’s found that the word ‘freedom’ ever came out of the liar-in-chief’s mouth. And if we were really going to invade a country for freedom and infrastructure rebuilding, why pick Iraq? North Korea, Sudan, the Dem. Rep. of the Congo, and Zimbabwe are all in MUCH, MUCH worse shape both in terms of freedom and the need for leadership change for humanitarian purposes, than Iraq ever was. But what does Iraq have that those countries do not? If this war really were about freedom, as they are now belatedly claiming, I might support it. But that’s just one more lie in a way too long list.
