I do not believe everyone has moral principles. In fact I know too many who don't. If you insist you haven't any, who am I to argue? However, I do believe everyone has prejudice. Whether that would cloud his judgment or not depends upon the individual.

たとえば科学ScienceでいうPrincipleてのは、新しい発見によって常に刷新され
ていきます。あらかじめそういう自己更新の可能性をふくむ概念として、科学者
は注意深くPrincipleというものを扱うのです。あなたのいう「善悪の基準」な
んてものにPrincipleを持ち出せば、科学者は苦笑いし、哲学者はその危険性を
指摘して批判するでしょう。

I used the word principle to mean a moral principle. If you want to call it "moral standard" or "ethic," I don't really care. What matters is the standard you use to decide whether a certain action is good or bad. (If you don't like the usage of words like "good" and "bad," what about "right" and "wrong?")

私のなかに善悪を区別する基準、なんてものはありませんよ。善悪を区別するこ
となど、人間ごときが安易にするべきではない、という立場ですから。

If you don't have any standard to judge what is right or wrong, how can you criticize any action? Since you did not agree with the military action in Iraq, you must have had some reason to oppose it. What did you base that decision on?
