親分の国連拷問査察前触れ

この報道の日付を追うと、以前から中国の人権問題が問題視されていたり、ダライ・ラマがヨーロッパ議会で中国の圧政を暴露したのを受けて、国連の拷問査察官の訪中となったらしい。
もっとも中国の議会が、猛烈反対を示したのは当然である。
「まあ、なんと中国に詳しい朝日だこと！」などと安心していると、思わぬ情報が世界を駆け巡っていることに、驚かされる。
中国のチベット問題、中国の人権抑圧のための対テロ認識が世界的に注目されているようです。

In a speech to the European Parliament here Wednesday, he also had harsh words for China, which he accused of occupying and oppressing Tibet's six million people, forcing its culture, language, ideology and political system upon them.
水曜日のヨーロッパ議会での発言で、彼はまた中国に厳しい口調で、軍隊が占拠し、チベット６百万の人々を不当に圧し、その文化や言語イデオロギーそしてを政治体制を強要している、訴えた。
"I speak to you today as a simple Buddhist monk," the 65-year-old Nobel peace laureate said, speaking in the Tibetan language, which he jokingly cautioned parliamentarians not to mistake for Chinese.

In a statement carried on the official Xinhua news agency, the Foreign Affairs Committee of China's National People's Congress, or parliament denounced the Dalai Lama's speech to the European Parliament on Wednesday.
