Members of the European parliament are urging the publication of a report on anti-Semitism in the European Union buried by the EU's racism watchdog after the latter clashed with the authors of the study.

The London-based financial daily reported Saturday that the European Monitoring Center on Racism and Xenophobia had decided in February not to publish the report it had commissioned from the Center for Research on Anti-Semitism at Berlin's Technical University.

When the researchers submitted their findings in October 2002, the Financial Times said, the monitor's management "objected to their definition of anti-Semitism, which included some anti-Israel acts.
