　　 0n Decernber 27， 1894，the Minjster of lnterna1 A仔girs
consulted wlth the Min扨ter of For・gn Afairs about
the petitions repeated by the Governor of okjnawa. to
arrlve at an ag1｀eement that the pllobleln should be
brought before the Cabinetls meetjng. 0n January 14，
1895.the Cabinet dedded to placQ the Senkaku ls】ands
under the jul｀isdiction of the okinawa Prefecture. and
to construct there the national land･marks，endorsjng
entirely the repl'esentatlons fol･mulated by thQ Governor
腱Okinawa，0n January 20. the same year， the Govern･
ment orda･ed him to implemりnt all these declsions.
　　 ln April. 1896，the Senkaku lslands wereplaced
under the administrative JuridletiQn ・the Yaeyama
County. ln December 1902.the lslands came to form
pa鴎ofthe ？onojljrovUlage of ohama-nlagjlヽ1，5比uated
Qn the lshigakl lsland， and were aUocat・adres＆･umbers.
