竹島

　　 その島の所有はその地域のいかなる勢力からも異議を提起されることが無かった。それはしたがって、「領土主権の継続的かつ平和的な表示」という条件を満たしている。
It establishes that this possession of the islands by the Sultanate was never challenged by any other Power in the region; and that it therefore satisfies the condition of “continuous and peaceful display of territorial sovereignty”.


　　 判決理由の中にはこういう部分もありますが、竹島については、日本政府は毎年韓国政府に対して抗議文書を送付しているらしいので、状況は違いそうですね。
