つんでいる爆弾がちがいます。

急降下爆撃の場合は、250キロ爆弾、水平爆撃の場合は、戦艦の主砲の砲弾を改造した800キロ爆弾か魚雷｡後者は戦艦などを上から打ち抜いて一気に沈めようというもの(戦艦アリゾナ撃沈）か魚雷で攻撃しようというものです。

炸薬量は後者の方がはるかに多いです｡ 　 従って､破壊力も。

爆弾は破裂するものですから、高度の持つエネルギーはそれほど問題にならないでしょう（爆弾用水平爆撃の爆弾の場合はこれが結構問題になるかもしれませんが）。急降下爆撃は今で言う精密爆撃に近いかもしれません（もちろん水平爆撃でも精度は重要な問題でしょうが）。つんでいる爆弾が重過ぎると急降下場爆撃は困難なんでしょう。

急降下爆撃というとスペイン内戦での援軍としてのナチ空軍のもので有名になったのでしょうか。

この急降下爆撃に曝されたイギリスの小説化ジョージ・オーウェルが以下のような文をスペインの塹壕の中でかいています(オーウェルは人民戦線軍に参加｡その後社会主義が嫌になって反共主義者になる）。

As I wrote, highly civilized human beings are fying overhead, trying to kill me.
They do not feel any enmity against me as indivudal, nor I against them. They are "only doing their duty" as the saying goes. Most of them, I have no dobut, are kindhearted law-abiding men who would never dream of committing murder in private life. On the other hand, if one of them succeeds in blowing me to pieces with a well-placed bomb, he will never sleep any the worse for it. He is serving his country, which has the power to absolve him from evil.
