＿追込み漁＿

漁期は9月から3月までだが、近年では実際の操業は9月から
12月までに限られている。伊豆東岸では1月から3月の間に操業
されたことはほとんど無いが、西岸ではかつていくらかの漁が
行われた（Miyazaki, 1983）。
総操業日数は1989年に51日、1991年に20日だった。
探索船は日の出の30分ほど前に出航し、昼頃帰ってくる。
Kasuya (1985a)は追込み漁の歴史的変化を概観した。
川奈と富戸チームの操業海域は相模湾沿岸部から大島（港から
20海里/37km）近傍の相模湾入り口まで歴史的に拡大した。
イルカの群が目視されると、探査船と港から呼ばれた他の船
によって追い込みが行われる。

Although the season is open from September to March,
operations have been limited in recent years to the
September-December period. There were almost no
operations in January-March on the east coast of the Izu
Peninsula, but some occurred on the west coast in the past
(Miyazaki, 1983). The total number of operation days was
51 in 1989 and 20 in 1991. The scouting boat leaves port
around 30 minutes before sunrise and returns to port at
around noon. Kasuya (1985a) reviewed the historical
change in the drive operation. The operation range of the
Kawana and Futo teams extended historically from the
coast of Sagami Bay to the entrance of the bay near Oshima
Island (20 n.miles off port) and beyond the island (over 30
n.miles) since 1962. If a dolphin school is sighted, it will be
driven by the scouting boat with the cooperation of other
vessels called from the port.
