伊豆沿岸における戦後の捕獲は表８に示されている。
それ以前の統計は入手されていない。主要ターゲット種は
スジイルカであった。マダライルカの捕獲が最初に報告された
のは1957年だった（Miyazaki et al., 1974）。

1950年から1956年にかけて安良里で大量のコビレゴンドウ
南方型が捕獲されたが、近年伊豆沿岸ではこの種は散発的に
捕られるのみである。
過去10年間のスジイルカとマダライルカの総捕獲に対する比率は
20.4％と76％だった。ハンドウイルカ、オキゴンドウ、マイルカ、
カマイルカ等、他の種のイルカ類は主として水族館用に捕獲され、
頭数は無視しうるほどのものである。
The post-war catches along the Izu coast are shown in
Table 8. No earlier statistics are available. The principal
target species was the striped dolphin. Catches of spotted
dolphins were reported to have started in 1957 at Arari
(Miyazaki et al., 1974).

Although a large number of southern form short-finned
pilot whales were taken at Arari between 1950 and 1956,
the catch of this species has become sporadic in recent
years on the Izu coast. In the last ten years, the proportions
of striped and spotted dolphins were 20.4% and 76% of the
total catch, respectively. Other species such as bottlenose
dolphins, false killer whales, common dolphins and Pacific
white-sided dolphins were taken mainly for aquaria and the
numbers were negligible.

スジイルカの年間捕獲は富戸と川奈が別々の漁を行っていた1968年
から1983年にかけては4,000頭から10,000頭の間であった。
二つのチームが合同した1968年から1983年にかけては、スジイルカ
の捕獲が年平均7,000頭から100頭以下に低下した（Kasuya, 1985a）。
この期間、操業に使用された船の数（４）は不変である。

The annual catch of striped dolphins ranged from 4-
10,000 between 1961 and 1967 when Kawana and Futo
operated independently. From 1968 to 1983, when the two
teams jointly operated, the annual catch of striped dolphins
decreased from an average of about 7,000 to below 100
(Kasuya, 1985a). The same number of vessels (4) was used
during this period.

1983年から1991年の9年間のうち４シーズンについて漁労時間集積
データが採られた（Tables 9 and 10）。
1983年の統計は川奈と富戸で水揚げされた捕獲数と両チームによる
目視データを含んでいる。しかし一方のチームでは記録の質が悪い
という理由で、漁労努力データは富戸のもののみを採用した。
1983年シーズンの共同操業における総探索努力量は富戸チームの
のもののほぼ２倍になっている。これは両集落が密接しており、
協調して作業にあたったためである。
伊豆沿岸での目視イルカ種は太地より少ないが、これは漁師が彼らの
ターゲット種を選択的に選好して記録したためだという可能性もある。
ターゲット種とはすなわちスジイルカとマダライルカである。
この２種に関しては、目視された群ほとんどすべて追い込まれた。
単位漁業努力あたり捕獲量（CPUE）の解釈には、太地のところで
議論したのと同様の問題がある。

Time budget data were collected for four seasons during
the nine year period 1983-1991 (Tables 9 and 10). The 1983
statistics include catches landed at Kawana and Futo and
sightings made by vessels of both teams, but only the effort
data of the Futo team has been included because of the
inferior quality of the records of the other team. The total
searching effort of the cooperative operation in 1983
season will be almost twice that of the Futo team, because
the two villages are close together and worked
cooperatively. Although the number of species sighted off
the lzu coast was smaller than off Taiji, it is possible that
the fishermen tended to record preferentially their target
species, i.e. striped and spotted dolphins. Almost all
schools of these two species sighted were driven.
Interpretation of the CPUE is problematic as discussed
above for Taiji.
