However, there are 　 something that is considered "bad" no matter where, like triads. However, while we are angry at the people, you must understand that China does not have as high a literacy rate as Japan does yet. Those who are not as educatedwill tend to do "bad" things to earn a living. Also, the living standard in China is not as high as in Japan. If they have a choice, I am sure they would not leave their country (legally or illegally). This is the same as many years ago in Hong Kongthere were "boat people" from Vietnam. I understand that they came because the living standards in Vietnam is not that high, and I don't discriminate against them. I actually know a few of them who are very hardworking and admirable.

(I think itis becoming necessary for Chinese to be more sensitive to their own reputation given the enlarging economic influence with a population over one billion. Rather than devoting yourself to finding fault with others, you are advised to take ChineseIndonesians seriously.)

Back to the Hong Kong people issue, there are (N.) Koreans who claim to be Chinese. It does not mean that they are discriminated against or something. Also, some Okinawans claim that they are not Japanese. I know that these arevery complexed issues and cannot be explained by just a few words.
Canada is a very friendly country. There is no (or almost no) discrimination. In my neighbourhood, there are people from Hong Kong, Taiwan, mainland China, Korea, Africa, and thewhite people....we live together in harmony. Canada is indeed a very good country to live in.

In case you don't know, I am a Hong Kong Chinese myself, and I feel 100% Chinese.
