......You must realize that some of these students are very likely to become government leaders, or leaders in technological development and businesses in the future, what they experienced in the past will have a STRONG influence in how they thinkand act towards that country. I am not sure whether Japanese realize this or not.

Also, I learned from my Japanese professor that in general Japanese people have respect for only the strong and no pity for the weak. She told me (or all thestudents) that it is the main reason why Japanese like America so much even after America bombed Japan on a massive scale towards the end of the WWII. Japanese people will only look to the strong and look down on those who happen to be weaker, even thoughthat "weaker" country contributed to enriching Japan's own culture. I think that this is very interesting and should be learned by all people, especially those who make Japan-policies. Anyway, the above was said by my Japanese professor, I am not surewhether you agree or not.
