【エルサレム＝当間敏雄】イスラエルの商業中心都市テルアビブで１５日未明、パレスチナ人の男（２３）がレストラン入り口の警備員（２４）をナイフで刺殺し、通行人２人を負傷させた。男は銃で足を撃たれて負傷、逮捕された。

　 男は東エルサレム在住で、パレスチナ解放機構（ＰＬＯ）主流派ファタハ系の「アルアクサ殉教者旅団」活動家と自供、治安当局はナイフによるテロ事件と断定した。

　 ファタハを含むパレスチナ主要３派が先月２９日に対イスラエル攻撃一時停止を宣言してから、イスラエル主要都市でのテロ事件は初めて。今月７日には同国中部の村でイスラム聖戦の地方支部が自爆テロ（犯人含め２人死亡）を実行、中央の統制を外れた末端活動家のテロをどう防ぐかが緊急課題となっている。

○ハアレツによれば、アッバスは一応、この「テロ」に対して非難のコメントを出している。またメッセージ6209を確認する見方がイスラエル側からも出された。

"The Palestinians are still not acting in the realm of terror,"Shalom told Army Radio.
"There's maybe the beginning of sparks of activity." He did admit to seeing "positive change" in the PA's reduction of incitement.

Meanwhile, Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas condemned the attack Tuesday, saying it is an example of the violence and terror that the Palestinian side rejects, the Itim news agency reported.

Palestinian Information Minister Nabil Amr said Palestinian authorities "will continue our efforts to contain these acts and to put an end to these acts." Amr said, "The truce will continue."

○こうした事件を日本の新聞が「テロ」と呼称して報じるようになったことが、個人的には感慨深い。

○第一次インティファーダの頃にもナイフによる殺しはあったが、それをテロと呼ぶ認識は不在だった。十五年、9/11、イスラム連続テロ、パレスチナ自爆テロ…。
