Meanwhile, the Israeli government agreed to withdraw troops from Gaza
and cease military operations, said Miri Eisin, a government spokeswoman.

The firing of rockets into Israel has recently prompted Israeli
airstrikes in Gaza.

In one of the recent strikes, two people were killed --
one a member of the Palestinian National Guard
