Hamas' armed wing said it launched the attacks because some Israeli
troops were still in Gaza, east of the town of Jabaliya, despite
the Israelis saying they had pulled out all their troops overnight.
ハマスの武装した一分派は、イスラエルが夜通しで全ての部隊を撤退させたと
言っているにもかかわらず、若干のイスラエル部隊が
まだガザの Jabaliya 町の東にあったから、攻撃を開始したと言いました。

A statement from the smaller Islamic Jihad group said it would not agree
to a ceasefire while Israeli military activity continued in the occupied
West Bank.
イスラム聖戦の声明によると、イスラエルの軍事活動が占領されている
西岸で継続する間は、停戦に同意しないであろうと述べました。

The BBC's Alan Johnston in Gaza says the ceasefire violations have been
condemned by a Hamas government spokesman and it is understood that
efforts are being made within both Hamas and Islamic Jihad to bring
the situation under control and make the truce work.
ガザのBBCのアラン・ジョンストンは、
停戦違反がハマス政府報道官によって非難されたと言います。
停戦の効力を発揮する為に事態を管理下に置く努力が

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas meanwhile has ordered his
security forces to deploy across northern Gaza and enforce the ceasefire,
Palestinian security sources said.
一方、マハムード・アバス・パレスチナ自治政府議長は、治安部隊に北ガザ中に
派遣して、停戦を実施するよう命じたとパレスチナ治安情報提供者が言いました。


Offensive 'suspended'：「しばらく見合わせられた」攻撃

Mr Abbas telephoned Mr Olmert on Saturday night to say he had agreement
from all Palestinian factions that they would stop their rocket fire.
アバス氏は全てのパレスチナの派閥からロケット発射停止の合意を
受け取っていると伝える為に土曜日の夜にオルメルト氏に電話をかけました。

Mr Olmert's spokeswoman Miri Eisin told the BBC that the prime minister
had agreed that Israeli forces would not initiate any offensive action
after the ceasefire began.
オルメルト氏の報道官 Miri Eisin はBBCに首相が停戦が始まった後、
イスラエル軍がどんな攻撃的な行動も始めないと同意していると述べました。

Shortly after the truce came into effect,
the Israeli army confirmed that all its troops had left Gaza.
停戦が効力を発した直後、イスラエル軍は全部隊がガザを去ったと確認しました。

Israel evacuated its settlements and military bases in Gaza last year
after 38 years in the territory, but the military renewed ground
operations after militants captured an Israeli soldier, Cpl Gilad Shalit,
in a border raid in June.
イスラエルは去年38年間のガザでの入植地と軍事基地から撤退を命じました。
