Thank you very much for your message. I am glad we have good friends like you in Hong Kong. As regards the question you asked about our history textbooks, let me tell you we have no consensus. Some of us may be proud of them; other may think they are totally ungrounded. I wonder, however, why we have to take comments from outsiders when we have never complained about the history textbooks used in mainland China. I have also heard the Chinese textbooks are too self-righteous. Have you ever read them? It seems you think the Government of Japan ignores our history. What makes you think so? If you think we ignore our history, why do you think we have provided China with support, including an ODA of tens of billions of dollars?
