US satellite recorded checkpoint shooting, shows speed of Italian car・・・

衛星写真というスパイ映画もどきの話、結局この見出しはPentagonサイドの主張そのままか、週刊誌のキャッチコピー程度のものであろう。つまり理解不足か思慮不足か？
米国側主張というのは、
US investigators concluded from the recording that the car was traveling at a speed of more than 60 miles (96 km) per hour.

CBS, citing Pentagon officials, said the satellite recording enabled investigators to reconstruct the event without having to rely on the eyewitness accounts.

だが、実際はどうであろうか？
衛星写真の記録は連続でなく、少なくとも分単位以上の撮影間隔があるはず。リアルタイム記録なんてデーター量からも無理。実際にビデオ記録とも言っておらず、reconstructなる表現を使っている。ここがアキレス腱なのは米、伊とも承知のようだが、マスコミは？

Reconstructを推定してみると、
ある時点で撮影された衛星写真から、検問所接近中の車の位置を特定（Y0）
射撃終了後ある時点で撮影された衛星写真から、車の停止位置を特定（Y２＝46 yards (meters)）
証言、規定、Y0などから警告時の車の走行位置を仮定（Y１＝137 yards (meters)）
米兵証言から警告〜停止までの時間を仮定（ｔ＝３sec）
そしてV＝（Y1-Y2）/ｔ＊減速係数 　 で時速60 miles (96 km) per hour.を導く。

すぐ判るように客観的な根拠と言うにはあまりにも杜撰。３secが５sec、６secになるだけでズグレナの言う時速30 milesになってしまう。伊側もこの３secという前提に疑義を示しているようだ。
CBS said Italian investigators refused to accept that the Americans were justified in shooting so quickly, arguing among other things that the checkpoint was not properly marked.

結局CBS、AFPの姿勢はありのままの公平報道か、受け狙いか？受け手側で正しく理解して当然と言うのか？

まあ、プライムタイムにコンクラーベの煙突の白煙について模型を使って説明していた、某公共放送に比べればましか。
