Senators led by Senate President Franklin Drilon and Senate Majority Leader Francis Pangilinan yesterday threw their support behind President Arroyo’s decision for a gradual pullout from Iraq of the country’s 51man peacekeeping force, saying it is “consistent with the overall national interest.”

ただ、この報道の内容と、ブログの人がいう「メディア・ブラックアウト」が実際に起きているかどうかという点が気になりますね。フィリピンのような国でのブラックアウト＝“報道規制”ではなく、政府に有利な“偏向報道”の可能性がありますから注意が必要です。

ちょっと9月の会議まで待てないんでフィリピンの同志に実情を聞いてみましょうかね。実は彼は上院の関係者なんです。
