対イラク武力行使

ブッシュのやることや発言を追っていると、つくづくこいつは腹の底で米国民をアホと思っているだろうなと思う。最近では、イランのことでいくら嘘を言おうが何の関係もない。日本ではまるで名前を知られていないようだが（俺も初めて)、米国ではけっこう評価されているGORE VIDALという作家が、俺が思っていたことをそのままDemocracy Now!で発言している。

ブッシュの残る任期の話に及んで、GORE VIDALさんはブッシュはまだ終わっていない。依然、ブッシュは世界を駄目にする可能性があると発言し、ブッシュのお仲間の嘘を指摘した後、「ブッシュのお仲間は米国民はみんなアホと思っていると思うよ。文字通りにね。」

イラクの件であれだけ嘘を付かれても同じ種類の嘘が通用するわけだから、「“United States of Amnesia”(「健忘症」合衆国)というところ。
