China has executed a South Korean for making, and trafficking in, illegal drugs, Yonhap News said on Sunday.
中国は、麻薬を製造・流通させたとして韓国人を処刑した、とヨンハップ・ニュースが日曜日に伝えた。

It is the first instance of a Korean national being put to death overseas on criminal charges, Yonhap said.
それは、刑事責任について海外で処刑された韓国国民の最初の場合である、とそのニュースは伝えた。

China reported to Korea's foreign ministry last week the execution of the 41-year-old Korean, known only as Mr Shin, the report said, citing foreign ministry officials.
中国は、41才の韓国人の処刑を先週、韓国外務省に報告した。その男性はシンとしか知らされていない、と外務省職員は述べた。

Shin was arrested in September 1997 for dope peddling and was executed last month, it said.
シンは、麻薬を密売したとして 1997年 7月に逮捕され、先月処刑された、と述べた。
