JABALYA REFUGEE CAMP, Gaza Strip (AFP) - Tens of thousands of supporters of the hardline Palestinian movement Hamas demonstrated in the Gaza Strip to mark the group's 16th anniversary.

After Friday prayers, up to 40,000 Palestinians converged from the northern towns of Beit Hanun and Beit Lahia to Hamas' birthplace in the refugee camp of Jabalya, an AFP correspondent reported.
金曜日の祈とうの後、最高４万人のパレスチナ人がジャバリア難民キャンプのハマス誕生の地に北のベイトハヌンとベイトラヒアの町から一点に集まった、と AFP 特派員は報告した。
The narrow streets of the impoverished camp were flooded by a wave of green flags representing the Islamic group and fervent Hamas supporters who came to listen to inflammatory speeches by the group's leaders.
