今期の南極海調査捕鯨妨害も、もちろんアメリカのCSチャンネル｢アニマル･プラネット」の人気番組、「WhaleWars」を撮影するためだ。
今期はそのスポンサーにコカ･コーラがついた。2008年から豪州コカ･コーラは支援したかったのが、難しかったのだという。今期は視聴率が稼げるからという理由で、アメリカ本社が応援に回ったようだ。
