It was suggested that JARPA surveys may better reflect the trend in
abundance for minke whales 　 for the following reasons:

JARPAによる調査の方が、以下の理由によりミンククジラの生息数動向を”より(正確に)”反映しているという事が示された。

(i) the estimates of abundance from the IDCR/SOWER surveys in CPIII are 　 negatively biased estimates of true minke whale abundance and thus the downward trend is 　 exaggerated;

CPIIIにおけるIDCR/SOWER調査の生息数推定は、実際のミンク生息数がネガテ
ィブに偏向しており、減少傾向が誇張された。

(ii) there have been more JARPA surveys in these Areas than IDCR/SOWER 　 surveys; and

JARPAの方が当該水域においてより（高頻度に）調査されている。

(iii) there is more consistency among JARPA surveys than among IDCR/SOWER surveys in 　 terms of the survey method, and geographical and temporal coverage of 　 the surveys.

IDCR/SOWERの各調査よりJARPAによる各調査の方が、方法論的、地理的、経
時的側面で、調査対象に対して”より”一貫性がある。


しかしJARPAの方がより実態を反映している・・・？
って「精度が高い」という事なんですか...？

まあ、いくらJARPAの調査結果の方が生息数動向の調査精度が高く
ても、”推定生息数には関係無い”！
これが「決め」でしたね。
