Dear fellow Chinese males seeing this site:
Whenever I walk around downtown Yokohama,I would recall the days when Mrs.Cameron began rescuing Chinese girls from their white slaveries in San Fransico. It was during 1880s.There estimated more than20000 prostitutes from China. Most of them were sold by their parents or by "Tongs"(Chinese gangs from Southern China). Their prices were on average $50-100 and consequently they were resold to Chinese panderors for $1500 or more.
China was a miserablecountry one hundred years ago and still is. Because newly relocated Chinese males are doing exactly the same as I write here in the Unites States and Japan now: arguing, fighting, gambling, drinking, buying prostitutes, smuggling, killing, abusing theirwives, and trafficing drugs. It is really sad.
Most Chinese prostitutes then were "converted" by American missionaries and got married to the small businessmen in Chinatown in San Fransico. Imagine how sad it was! Other oriental girls includingJapanese and Vietnamese were also kidnapped and sold as prostitutes, but the Chinese gangs were the most merciless and violent.They even burnt the missionaries' houses and killed immigration officers. I think China still remains unchanged because the voiceshere are just showing-offs of the Chinese residing in Japan(or abroad), only bursting out with their grievances to hide their inferiority and expressing no perspectives:it is sad. China was miserable and poor as hell and still is. And I guess it will beif those guys remain as they are now.
