PETITION LETTER

Dear President Samaranch and International
Olympic Committee Members,

In the next few weeks, the World will be watching
your selecting of the 2008 Olympic host. Please
do not repeat the history of Hitler's 1936 Berlin
Olympic by awarding China the 2008 Olympic. The
World understands that promoting human life,
dignity, and global peace is the foundation of
the Olympic Spirit. Both Hitler's Nazi Party and
China's Communist Party severely violate this
Olympic Spirit.

* Against human life, China has pressured members
at the World Health Organization (WHO) to reject
Taiwan's participation as an observer. For many
years, many in Taiwan are suffering needlessly
because their doctors are not able to have access
to WHO medical protocols. During the enterovirus
epidemic of 1998, many infants and children died
tragically as the direct result of this lack of
access. The Olympic Games can never be celebrated
in a country that blocks access to medicine to
save lives.

* Against human dignity, China has intensified
crackdown on religious groups, democratic
activities, and even foreign scholars. China's
military occupation of Tibet has killed and
tortured millions of Tibetan men, women, and
Children. Even today, China denies the 1989
bloody killing of the unarmed pro-democracy
demonstrators in Beijing's Tiananmen Square.
Until China stops these violations, these
killings and torturing will be reflected on the
Olympic games held in Beijing.

* Against global peace, China has installed more
than 300 missiles along the Taiwan Strait
directly aiming at the 23 million of Taiwan
residents. Until China abandons its military
threat to this peaceful island, China will never
qualify as a peaceful country to host an Olympic.

The World knows that Olympic is not just another
event. As such, we urge you to take China's
violations seriously. Please vote for a qualified
site such as Toronto or Paris for Olympic Games
2008.
