The Regulations of Scholarship for Foreign Students
of Xi'an Jiaotong University

Aim
Our aim is to attract and help those excellent foreign students who are to apply for Master or doctoral degree studies at our school and to promote the exchange programs with our contract schools by providing scholarships on academic study and scientific research for their students.
Classification
Our scholarships for foreign students is classified as three levels.
a. Tuition, accommodation, teaching materials, registration fee and experimental fee free. With monthly living money -- -￥800 for doctoral students; ￥700 for postgraduate students; ￥600 for graduate students.

Living money for the three months during summer and winter vacations excluded. The above accommodation mentioned above refers to the #2 dormitory building for students and is one person one room. But the extra electricity bill is on your own.
How and when to apply for the scholarship
a. The applicant must fill out the application form for the scholarship for foreign students of Xi'an Jiaotong University for and by him/herself.
b. The following applying materials is required:
I. Academic performance account and recommendation for the exchange international students provided by the recommending school.
II. For postgraduate students, graduation certificate, certificate of the latest degree(copy), courses learned and transcipts and recommending letter by two professors.
III. For doctoral students, graduation certificate, certificate of the latest degree(copy), courses learned and transcipts and recommending letter by two professors.
IV. Under 40 for postgraduate students and under 45 for doctoral students.
c. The applicant can apply for the application form through fax, e-mail and mail from the International Cooperation and Exchange Division, Foreign Students Office.
Applying and recruiting time
Jan.1 pr.30 for applying and May.1 ay.15 for recruiting and May.20 for admission notice and early September for admission.
How the scholarship is awarded
The awarding of this scholarship is based on the judgment of the scholarship committee composed of the leaders of related schools, colleges and divisions by researching and commenting the materials of the
applicants. And then we will inform the award-winning applicants in written form.
