10 Marines Die in Explosion (Video)

Ten U.S. Marines were killed near Al-Fallujah in central Iraq in the deadliest single incident involving American troops since August, military officials said Friday.

An additional 11 Marines were wounded in the attack Thursday, although seven of them already have returned to active duty, the U.S. military said in a statement.

襲撃でイラク兵ら１３人死亡 　 中部バアクーバ近郊

　 ロイター通信によると、イラク中部バアクーバ北方のオダイムで３日、イラク軍の車列近くで道路に仕掛けられた爆弾が爆発、直後に武装勢力の襲撃を受け、イラク兵１１人が死亡、２人が負傷した。
　 警察当局によると、武装勢力とみられる２人も死亡、民間人５人が負傷した。
　 中部ファルージャ近郊では１日、爆弾による攻撃で米兵１０人が死亡したばかり。
　 バアクーバ近郊の村では１１月、イスラム教シーア派住民の葬列に対する自爆テロで５０人以上が死亡。１５日の総選挙を前に各地で、武装勢力の活動が続いている。（共同）
