④'Education for women'
Kamar Khwajazada, 30, Pashtun

I come from the province of Laghman, north of Kabul. I am a teacher in a secondary school.

Security is a key issue in our province. But my main focus in the loya jirga will be on education, especially of women.

People here do not want to spend money on educating girls.

⑥'Freedoms for women'
Muslina Waliji, 40, Tajik

I am from the northern province of Kunduz, bordering Tajikistan. I am here to represent the women of our area.

The draft constitution says all Afghans have equal rights but does not spell out what rights women will enjoy - something I intend to raise.

We want moderate, not extreme freedom, for women.

⑩'Female doctors'
Sharifa, 29, Pushtun

I come from Kunar province in the north-east. I am here to raise the issues of our people, especially of the women who have suffered a lot.

Back home we don't have enough schools for girls. We also have a shortage of female doctors.

The new constitution needs to protect the rights of women.
