NYCで行われた International War Crimes Tribunalにて、ブッシュ等は、湾岸戦争に関わる行いで、元司法長官ラムゼイ・クラーク氏によって、19項目の戦争犯罪に問われ、有罪が認められました。そして、ブッシュ政権による、マスコミ操作の乱用はその18番目に上げられています。
