Israel will recognize the Palestinian right to return and Palestinians will accept the Jews’ right of return. If Jews are allowed to return after 3,000 years, it is only natural that Palestinians have the right of return after less than six decades.
イスラエルはですね、パレスチナ人の帰還権を認めてですね、パレスチナ人はですね、ユダヤ人の帰還権を認めるということですね。かたや３千年、我々なんか、たったの60年ですがね……。

●Laboring under illusions

○なんとも曖昧。ぼかしまくりだ。この人が日頃「占領」という言葉をアラビア語でどのように使っているかが想像できてしまう。

○イスラエル人とパレスチナ人の間に開かれた対話チャンネルを保つべく……とされているホームページにしてからが、いまだにこの有様である。パレスチナ人の「意見」は、結局のところ５５年間、まったく変わっていない。どころかテロをやっておきながら「合法的」だと抜かしておる。失望だ。人生の如く苦きレモンは……どうやらもう腐ってしまったようだ。そう思って最後に直近の投稿を読むと、少しばかり趣が違った。

○こちらは "Ghassan Khatib is minister of labor in the Palestinian Authority cabinet. He has served for many years as a political analyst and media contact." という人の投稿。余りにもばかばかしいような隙や、相も変わらずといった愚かさは、少なくともこの文章中からは感じられなかった。どういう人かというと、

このページでは 　 "He is also secular member of the Palestinian Authority." 　 とされている。「世俗的」という言葉で形容されているから、少なくとも「ギトギトの原理主義ラクダの雲古」とは違うのだろう。

○善し悪しはともかく、「世界はひとつ」といった流れにある人類史の中では、「宗教家」たちほど足を引っ張る邪魔な存在はない、と思う。儀式や教典、やり方など様々であっても信仰心が「死に絶える」わけではないだろう。「世界はひとつ」にとってまずとりあえず重要なことは、「何をしてはいけないか」という「禁止」条項であるはずだ。ましてや隣同士で「共存共栄」をはかろうという二国間であればなおさらだろう。
