Groups of women demonstrate in Jerusalem weekly, but Friday demonstration was notable for its size

- Hundreds of Jewish and Arab women, demonstrated together in Jerusalem on Friday in favor of peace and against Israel occupation of the Palestinian territories.


The women, some of them clad in black, walked up to the line that divided the Israeli and Jordanian zones until Israel victory in the 1967 Six-Day War and held up signs reading "No to the Occupation," "No to the Violence" and "Two States for Two Peoples." Groups of women demonstrate in Jerusalem weekly, but Friday demonstration was notable for its size, with women traveling from all across Israel.

The protest comes after three months of Israeli aggressions against the Palestinian occupied territories in which more than 321 Palestinian have been killed.
