ゴシップライター？ 　 それとも硬派なジャーナリスト？

下記にもありますが、
the Walkley Award (Australia's Pulitzer)
the Graham Perkin Award for Journalist of the Year,
って、社会的評価のある賞なのでしょうか？

ゴシップライターなら、ほおって置いたほうがよかったんでしょうけれど、ルポものとして書かれたのなら困りますね。
訂正記事を求めただけなのに、「出版停止をさせた」みたいな宣伝をされては、特に海外では逆効果にならないでしょうか？
