対イラク武力行使

原文のイラン犯行説の根拠があまりに薄いので色々調べたんだよ。

ハラブジャで使われたのはシアン（青酸)系化学兵器
イラク軍はシアン系を持っていなかった。
だからイランである。

文章の筋道は通るが状況証拠の筋道は通らない。
また、イラク軍もシアン系化学兵器を持っていたと言う情報がある以上は
このイラン犯行説は更に低くなる。

イラク軍がシアン系化学兵器を持っていなかったと言う根拠は
”that is, a cyanide-based gas -- which Iran was known to use. The Iraqis, who are thought to have used mustard gas in the battle, are not known to have possessed blood agents at the time. ”
当時イラクが持っていたガスはマスタードガスであり、イラクがシアノイドベースのガスを持っていたという情報は無かった。

この発言者の信頼性に関しては
”I am in a position to know because, as the Central Intelligence Agency's senior political analyst on Iraq during the Iran-Iraq war, and as a professor at the Army War College from 1988 to 2000, I was privy to much of the classified material that flowed through Washington having to do with the Persian Gulf. In addition, I headed a 1991 Army investigation into how the Iraqis would fight a war against the United States; the classified version of the report went into great detail on the Halabja affair. ”

所謂、内部告発の部類に入るかな？
原文を読む限り、ハラブジャ事件イラン犯行説の根拠を述べるよりも
米国政府のプロパガンダであったと言う主張に重きを置いている。

これだけではイラン犯行説の可能性が高いとは決して言えない。
しかも、イランが当時、シアン系化学兵器を持っていたと言う信頼できるニュースソースも
シアン系化学兵器を他の場所で使用したと言う信頼できるニュースソースも見当たらない。
