I suppose there are some people here and there in the Palestinian territory who want to have peace with Israel. But they do not make policy.
By contrast, the current government of Israel is in the process of giving away Gaza and the west bank. For that, all they want is a wall to protect them from the inevitable attack. The Israeli people want peace; you saw it in the poll Mrs. Dorawasabi posted here. Israel unilateraly withdrew from Lebanon and offered everything the Palestinian demanded in the Oslo accords. How did Arafat respond? With the Intifada, that's how.
So, a few people here and there told Japanese TV they wanted peace. What is it going to achieve? They don't have any power. They don't make policy.
I may be looking at a branch, but you are looking at a twig.
