Hicks also said that Pace has struggled with the difficulty of providing expert military advice to an administration that has put a priority on political loyalty and public support for the president's policies.

"There's a sense among military officers that there has been a failure to speak truth to power . . . he's representative of that," she said.

つまりは、ペースは軍専門家としての意見、本当のことをちゃんと政権に伝えていなかったってことなんだけど、これは、まだブッシュを庇ってますね。そもそもブッシュは自分の聞きたいことしか受け付けられない、白か黒かの思考能力しか持ち合わせていない輩ですから。こういうのを、アル中から抜けても、アル中特有の思考方法が残るDry Drunkっていうのでしょうか。
