イラクで日本人拘束

英語版では、
「スン二派聖職者協会はサダムフセインのスン二派体制が崩壊後に設立された」

とあり、自分たちは

「米軍とイラク軍、そして（どこの？武装勢力に狙われている」

とのことです。

つまり、サダムフセイン元大統領に擁護（あるいは貢献しながら）されながら
一つにまとまっていた指導者団体であったように思われます。

「１月３０日の選挙で多数派であるシーアー派による圧政が続くのを恐れている。」

指導者が殺害され、また、上記のように世間に訴えなければならないのは

いまままで、サダムフセイン元大統領が
どのような仕打ちを反体制者たちにしてきたかを知っているからでしょうか。

この「恐れは」かなりのものでしょうね。

「サダムフセイン元大統領圧政下でおこなわれた、密告・拷問・処刑への関与を問われない」

というような
身の保障を求めているように思えます。
