Assuming that Kaorisano is a genuine witness of the incident in Xian, and that aki fumika is acting as an honest broker:
Probably Kaorisano can write a draft, let some native-speaker proof-read and send it to the writer who reported on the news for the Guardian. To my best knowledge, it is the only Western media so far that provided a fairly objective and detached coverage of the events.
However, media people in general are used to bogus tippers and hoax whistle-blowers. In order to prove the integrity and truthfulness of the account, kaorisano should let Guardian people to contact him/her to talk directly on the event. Plus he/she needs a proof of identity (such as a student ID of the Xian university), of course, and desirably photos of the play.
Yahoo.com boards have a LOT of biased anti-Japanese messages, but be careful! Because I don't believe you guys can argue effectively in English against those eloquent demagogues.
You can also search English-website specialised in human rights issues in mainland China.
Other Western media? Probably not.
Final words of advice - focus on the unreasonable/outragious aspects of this incident, such as the two innocent students who got assaulted by the Chinese student mob, and the hotels and restaurants vandalized. DON'T try to push for your Japan- oriented views (such rhetoric as "Japan can say NO"). Frankly, to us in the West Japan doesn't have a good reputation of being open and fair to all ethnicities within your country. Despite all those formal "apologies" the countries' leaders and war-criminals have made. (see my previous posting) Then what can you do? Not much, but you can patiently communicate the fact about numerous formal apologies via ENGLISH LANGUAGE media and website. Also you better shut the f**k up those naive Japanese politicians who make careless racist-sounding comments to get votes. They really hurt our perception of you.
