Again i dont support the actions of these protestors...wont do any good at all.
What a shame Japan has missed its chance to be honest about its past..as we can see the next generations have continued with the hatred in china, and the "what thats history" generation in japan.
Its too late now. missed chances to try to create genuine better relations between the two nations...and who may suffer?? us and our children?? I hope not.
Just last week the WARSAW UPRISING was remembered in Poland, we saw the Leader of the German nation yet again offer DIRECT CLEAR AOPOLOGY to the 1000`s of Polish the germans killed.
What a difference when the leader of Japan pays respects to the men the DID THE KILLING in Asia...and he wants the chinese fans to show respect??
What a difference in attitude of people here in japan saying "Oh how many times do we have to say sorry" well thats the point! ONCE OFFICIALLY would be a start!
Hashimotos "heartfelt regret" famous words had to be personal as the right wingers demanded it were not a documented apology from the japanese goverment! and they never have...yes all history I know...history the japanese are keen to forget..(unlike the North Korean kidnappings!!! very happy to remember them).
The japanese sould be reminded of how outraged they felt of several kidnappings 20+ years ago...fair enough!
So can they see the same point the chinese and other asian nations feel about countless murders/rapes/torture/theft of national treasures? I can imagine how the japanese would feel about this!
If the japanese care about human beings not only the japanese version then they should have and still should put pressure on the gov. to right those wrongs and stops the denails.
But we can see people like ishihara getting popular support...as i said its too late now.
I just hope some japanese can see how hurt the other side still are.
