＞＞＞The cars that emerged last month from Kia's new $300m plant at Zilina in Slovakia mark a milestone for the Hyundai-controlled carmaker. The name of the new hatchback, Cee'd, might be as daft as that of its first car, Pride, was arrogant. But this European designed and built model is an eyeball-to-eyeball challenger to cars like the VW Golf, Ford Focus and GM's Astra. It looks, drives, handles and is built pretty much as well as any of them.
