「政冷経熱」の日・中韓 和解し米と向き合う時

＞日本と中国、韓国との政治関係は冷え込んだままだが、実体経済を中心にアジア統合の動きは止まらない。この状況下で３カ国は唯一の超大国・米国とどう折り合うべきか――朝日新聞アジアネットワーク（ＡＡＮ）、韓国の東亜日報２１世紀平和研究所（ＰＥＡＣＥ２１）、中国現代国際関係研究院（ＣＩＣＩＲ）は５月２０日に、合同シンポジウム「東アジアと米国――唯一の超大国とどう付き合う？」を朝日新聞東京本社内で開いた。合同シンポは今回で４回目。内外の専門家、識者たちが、「政治・安全保障」と「経済」の視点から、会場参加者を交え論じ合った。

YASUKUNIと靖国神社を取り上げるていることはもちろんのこと、 なんでも、
朝日新聞アジアネットワークは国際記事である！！
というのだ。

専門家たちは、問題点は脇に置いておくべきであると言う。

The discussion highlighted that Japan, China and South Korea must remove political thorns over "historical issues," aggravated by Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's controversial visits to Yasukuni Shrine, where Class-A war criminals are honored alongside the nation's war dead.
Gerald Curtis, professor of political science at Columbia University, said that it is the first time in history that both Japan and China stand as major powers, but neither of them have strategies to coexist in harmony.
"Japan and China need a grand bargaining," Curtis said. "The Yasukuni issue has had a negative impact on Japan's image not only in China but also in the rest of the world. But China should also realize that Japan bashing has adverse results in improving its relationship with Japan."
