And this plan excellently succeeded. 'Let's save whales which are exterminated by Japan!! Though there is a difference definitely between whales and farm animals, why does Jap kill them? Wild whales have brilliant intellect enough to be friends of us. Stop Japs eating whales!!' Many kind of campaigns of anti- whaling were unrolled in various part of the world. Certainly anti-whaling was only a way to force general eyes out from the disgusting result in Vietnam at the starting at least, but it produced the secondary effect which wasn't estimated. For instance, by broadcasting commercials which strongly send a invisible message to subconsciousness of people with impact of anti- whaling, it became to ideal means of fund collection for environment protection groups. Eyes of people naturally and easily turned to a whaling problem than CO2 problem of atmosphere pollution. As for politicians who have some connections with Industrial circles, they got generality support and huge obtaining votes by insisting anti-whaling as a problem of environment instantly. Now, they can easily escape from being criticized in the atmosphere pollution, and also they got an incantation of a sorcery which make general people to think him a politician who has wonderful sense of environment protection. Do you ask me what a invisible message is? The invisible message is a clear lie which says 'All whales are decreasing!!'. For one of other instance, even some Japanese people have believed that whales are forced to disappear. Now, 1,000,000 of mink whales, 2,000,000 of cachalot, and 900,000 of nitari whales(sorry, I don't know English name of this whale ), all of them are swimming in the world's sea actually. Japan hunts 100(0.01% of 1,000,000) of mink whales, 200(0.01% of 2,000,000) of cachalot and 50(0.05% of 900,000) of nitari whales by investigation whaling. All numbers are admitted and permitted by IWC. It has been kept to insist 'Japan is getting whaling illegally' by Green Peace which is one of environmentalist groups, though it is a lawful act of Japan. Of course there are certainly some kinds of whales which are starting decreasing, too. One of them is Arctic whale which live in the sea in Alaska. The population of Arctic whale is about 6,000. But, USA has been hunting 600 of them per every one year. It's Eskimo people who hunt Arctic whales in USA, and USA herself permits and admits their need of whaling. There is no parson who call it 'double standing' because this fact is almost unknown in general. Anyway, USA isn't all nations of 'double standing', she is only one of them. Only one target for propaganda is needed, but plural of them are unnecessary. As you know, the one target is only Japan of course.
