Both leaders confirmed the shared recognition that establishing a fruitful political, economic and cultural relationship between The Republic of Korea-Japan through the settlement of unfortunate past between them and the outstanding issues of concern would be consistent with the fundamental interests of both sides, and would greatly contribute to the peace and stability of the region.

Both sides confirmed that they would comply with international law and would not commit conducts threatening the security of the other side

両首脳は、韓日間の不幸な過去を清算し、懸案事項を解決し、実りある政治、経済、文化的関係を樹立することが、双方の基本利益に合致するとともに、地域の平和と安定に大きく寄与するものとなるとの共通の認識を確認した。

双方は、国際法を遵守し、互いの安全を脅かす行動をとらないことを確認した。
