I'm not interested in any GARBAGES made in japan, such as flat-screen TVs, mobile phone handsets, car navigation systems etc.

Japan Electronics Output Seen Up 3.6 Pct in 2003
TOKYO (Reuters) - The value of Japanese electronics output is expected to rise modestly in 2003, with brisk demand for flat-screen TVs and advanced mobile phone handsets making up for declines elsewhere, an industry group said on Thursday.
Electronics production is likely to grow 3.6 percent to 20.01 trillion yen ($166 billion) after falling an estimated 8.5 percent to 19.3 trillion yen in 2002, the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) said.
Although domestic output of conventional audio-visual (AV) equipment is expected to decline, flat-screen TVs with plasma display panels (PDPs) and liquid crystal displays (LCDs) as well as car navigation systems are expected to grow steadily.
The world's largest consumer electronics maker, Sony Corp (news - web sites), said earlier this month that it would fund five billion yen in capital spending at NEC Corp's plasma display unit, spurred by strong sales of flat-panel TVs.
JEITA also said the introduction of high-speed third-generation (3G) mobile phone services and the continued popularity of camera-equipped mobile phones were likely to boost demand for handset replacements. J-Phone Corp., Japan's third-largest mobile phone operator and camera phone pioneer, is set to launch 3G service on Friday, joining forerunners NTT DoCoMo Inc and KDDI Corp. J-Phone aims to win one million 3G users by March 2004.
JEITA also said recovering demand for digital AV equipment, mobile phone handsets and personal computers were likely to boost production of electronic components and devices.
