　　　 《Daimler Chrysler sells Hyundai Motor Stakes》

German carmaker Daimler Chrysler AG announced Tuesday that it sold its 10.5 percent stake in Hyundai Motor at US$912 million. The German car manufacturer is unwinding its alliance with Hyundai.

According to the German media, a spokesperson for Daimler Chrysler said that the German car producer has dealt a contract with Goldman Sachs to sell its Hyundai Motor stakes at US$19.92 per share on its behalf. Daimler Chrysler bought 10.5 percent stakes in the Korean carmaker at 484 million euros in 2000 and 2001, as it decided to establish an alliance with Hyundai Motor. Considering foreign exchange rates at that time, Daimler Chrysler will make a profit amounting to nearly US$300 million by selling its stakes in the Korean automobile manufacturer.
