Min (1989) reported that the major emotional reactions
etiologically related to HB were feelings of mortification,
dissatisfaction, worry, anger, pessimism, depression, hatred,
Hahn, anxiety, nervousness, regret, loneliness, fear, disgust,
guilt, and shame. The major physical symptoms were feeling
oppressed (stuffy in the chest), sighing, palpitations, hot or
heat sensation, headache heaviness, something pushing up in
the chest, insomnia, localized or generalized pain, dry mouth,
epigastric mass, indigestion, anorexia, dizziness, paresthesia,
nausea, constipation, blurred vision, cold sensation in the
body, and cold sweats. The psychological and behavioral
symptoms are depression (pessimistic mood), talkativeness
at interview, anxiety, loss of interest, impulsive need to leave,
regret, absentmindedness, being short tempered, paranoid
ideas, suicidal ideas, and guilt.

ミン（1989）は以下のような研究報告を行なっている：火病と病因学的に関連する主な感情的な反応としては、悔しさ、不満、不安、怒り、悲観、落ち込み、憎しみ、恨、懸念、神経過敏、悔恨、孤独感、恐れ、嫌悪、罪悪感、慙愧の念などがある。主な身体的徴候としては、感情の抑圧（胸が締め付けられる感じ）、溜め息、発刊、ほてり、頭痛、むかつき、不眠、体の一部もしくは全体的な痛み、口腔の乾き、上腹部のしこり、消化不良、拒食症、目眩、知覚障害、吐き気、便秘、目のかすみ、寒気、冷や汗などがある。心理的お呼び行動上の徴候としては、落ち込み（悲観的な気分）、人と会った時のおしゃべり過多、心配症、ものごとに対する関心の喪失、衝動的な立ち去り、悔恨、放心、短気、偏執的な考え方、自殺願望、罪悪感などである。
