7月のイスラエル軍によるレバノン攻撃２日目に、イスラエルの艦船がヒズボラのミサイルによって炎上した。不幸にしてミサイルは艦船を直撃せずに、艦船の沈没は免れたが、搭載されていたヘリコプターに当って四人のイスラエル兵が死んだが、この件に関して船長などの責任を追求する調査があったらしい。調査によると、艦船に装備されていた対ミサイルの防衛システムはスタンバイの状態にもなっておらず、当然ながら、作動しなかったとの事。兵隊さん達は安息日の晩飯を喰うのに忙しかったんだと。戦闘中なのにイスラエルの兵隊さん達は優雅だね。こんなんだから、大した戦死者も出てないのにレバノンから逃げちゃったんだ。親分のアメリカはヒズボラを完全にやっつけるまで続けろと言ってたのに。

The investigation team, headed by Lieutenant Colonel (res.) Nir Maor, found that four missile defense systems on the ship, including the Barak anti-missile missiles, were not activated; in fact, they were not even on stand-by. The vessel was close to the shore since the commanders thought it was important to "show presence." Instead of manning the attack positions, the fighters were busy at a festive Sabbath meal.
