Japan's coast guard on Wednesday sent two patrol ships and a plane to the place in the Sea of Japan where gunmen apparently seized a Russian fishing trawler with a crew of 23.
海上保安庁は水曜 　 無法者が乗組員２３人のロシアのトロール船を拿捕した日本海の現場に２隻の巡視船と偵察機を１機派遣した。
"We have sent two vessels and one plane to the spot in response to a request from the Russian side that we look into the matter," a Japan Coast Guard spokeswoman said.
「我々はロシア側の 　 その事態を調べて欲しいとの要請を受けてその地点に派遣した」と広報官は述べた。
The trawler was 140 kilometres off Akita in the north of Japan at 8:43am local time, or 40 degrees 38 minutes north and 136 degrees 43 minutes east, she said.
そのトロール船は秋田沖１４０㎞、日本時間８：４３ 　 北緯４０度３８分、東経１３６度４３分の位置にいた 　 と述べた。
The position is within Japan's 200-nautical-mile exclusive economic zone.
